now Barbara is sending her buddies after me, having them email me directly - yeah, her buddy Rocco, who in one post claims to only have known her for a week, then claims that he and various members of his family have done business with him and who is now fighting Barbara's fight.
I think I will have to do more than just keep up the blog, but reopen my complaints about her and stating this.
And Rocco, if you actually read what I wrote, then you'd see that I'm not doing background searches, but only checked on which of these posters' names are actually real and existing in the states that they claim to be. I have no interest in you or your background. I don't use my databases that frivolously.
All I wrote is that there are a ton of Rocco whatevers in NY and that most of them are over 80. That does not constitute a background search! Geez, learn to read. Yes, I've updated my blog, but only because I can't comment here for some reason, so the only way to comment to the same blog is to rewrite things in my blog. I have no interest in doing a background search on you. It's not worth it to me. I use my important databases for my real business. This was just playing around on some inferior search engine.
Yes, I keep adding to this blog, because you keep saying that I have been threatening a background search on you. Heck, I don't even know which one of the
Rocco Paducas you are and I don't give a damn. So, stop acting like Barbara, who is also always twisting other people's words to make them look bad.
Hellooooo, while I have the capabilities to find out a whole lot of things about people, I very clearly wrote that I have no interest in finding stuff on you. I really don't care who you are, other than you defending a scammer here, and I won't spend any resources on such frivolous stuff. So, leave me alone.
But it is certainly curious why you are so paranoid about anyone knowing anying about you, if you openly give 'your' name here and defend a scammer.

Michaela Graham - PLEASE IMMEDIATELY CEASE PERFORMING background searches on my confidential information, as indicated in your immediately prior post. This is not acceptable.
ReplyDeleteThank you,

Michaela Graham - Listen, I am not going to play games with you and re-read your re-editing of your own posts. I am simply asking you NOT to perform illegal background checks on my CONFIDENTIAL information, which you should not be accessing through the databases you claim to have available to you, unless you are authorized to do so in conformance with certain laws, i.e. credit laws.
ReplyDeleteAs long as you do not do so, and you do not threaten to do so, I have no problem with you.
Thanks,
Rocco Padula
Michaela Graham,
ReplyDeleteYou have re-edited your post a second time, to remove your threat to access my confidential background information.
Rocco Padula
Michaela Graham,
ReplyDeleteThank you for your explanation. However, this is the language which troubles me, and it currently (12:15 a.m. EST, 1/8/10) appears in your post prior to this one: "What I'm accessing is perfectly legal as I have not researched your background. In fact, I have other databases where I could really find out more stuff on you, but I have no interest in doing this. You're not worth the cost to me." - I take this as a threat - you have access to "other databases where [you] could really find out more stuff on [me]" . . . I am simply asking you, once again, to NOT ATTEMPT to perform such a background check. If you do not understand why I would take your language, as quoted above, as a threat, then I am not sure I can help you understand since to me, it is an obvious threat to perform a background check, and that is why I am CLEARLY telling you NOT to perform such a background check (aside from the cursory public information which you indicate in your e-mail below).
I don't care what you post on your blog. Freedom of speech. But, don't break the laws and don't violate my confidentiality rights, please.
Thanks,
Rocco Padula

ReplyDeleteDon't Pay Finder's Fees
Don't pay a fee for someone to locate your unclaimed property.
Tracers are professionals who make a living finding the owners of unclaimed property. They then contact the owners, and offer to help them locate their unclaimed property for a fee. The fees range from 10% of the value of the property to as much as 60%. All you get for the fee is the name and address of the state unclaimed property office that has your property.
If a tracer tells you there's money waiting for you, you can call the state yourself and get the money without having to pay anybody anything. States return abandoned property for free.
If the tracer is unwilling to tell you which state has the unclaimed property, try calling or writing each of the states listed below. Start first with the states in which you've lived, and the states in which your deceased relatives lived. Also try the state in which the tracer is located, since many tracers specialize in tracing their home state's unclaimed property listings. Once you know that there is unclaimed property waiting for you in some state's coffers, it is very easy to file a claim. If all else fails, sending a postcard to each of the state unclaimed property offices will cost you less than most finder fees.
If you come up empty-handed, try waiting a year and trying again. Some tracers buy unclaimed property lists directly from major companies, in order to get a head start on the state unclaimed property office. (A few states have passed laws making it illegal to charge finders fees once the unclaimed property is published on the state's list.)
Of course, you may decide to pay the tracer's fee because it is convenient. If so, try to negotiate the fee down to 20% or less before signing any contract. Also ask for information their guarantees. For example, in some cases you may already know about the property and were just not aware that it had been turned over to the state.
If a tracer asks you to pay money up front, don't pay anything. Reputable tracers always work on a percentage basis and get paid after you receive your money, not before.
You should also beware of outfits which charge a flat fee for nothing more than a list of unclaimed property offices.
Unclaimed property person ~ this is not the unclaimed property we are trying resolve here. It is not held with a state agency like a bank account that went unattended that has 6 bucks in it.

Michaela Graham,
ReplyDeleteYou state in a private e-mail to me, sent last evening, that you have the capability to obtain the LAST 4 DIGITS of my Social Security number. HOW are you able to access that confidential information? Was that a misstatement of yours, or do you in fact have the capability of accessing people's LAST 4 DIGITS of their Social Security numbers, which is confidential information.
IDENTITY THEFT is a rampant crime in this day and age.
If you have access to "databases," WHAT databases are they that provide the LAST 4 DIGITS of Social Security numbers????
Thanks,
Rocco in New York

On gay rights, world, U.S. continue to shift
ReplyDeleteIn the two months since Washington voters expanded the state's domestic-partnership law, the gay-rights movement has experienced a burst of wins and losses.
By Lornet Turnbull
Seattle Times staff reporter
In the two months since Washington voters expanded the state's domestic-partnership law, the global landscape of the gay-rights movement has continued to shift.
From the United States and Latin America to Africa, the movement has experienced a burst of wins and losses — with gays celebrating legal unions in some places while denouncing the threat of execution for being gay in one other.
Three weeks ago, the Mexico City assembly became the first in Catholic-strong Latin America to legalize same-sex unions, and the Council of the District of Columbia voted overwhelmingly to allow gays in the nation's capitol to wed.
Houston last month elected a lesbian mayor, and the California Assembly named the nation's first openly gay speaker.
"I find it all encouraging," Ed Murray, Washington state's longest-serving openly gay lawmaker, said of developments across the globe.
"And as you see these changes taking place, it makes it more promising for us to move forward (with gay marriage) here in Washington state," he said.
There have been developments as well on the federal level, where some gay leaders have complained the Obama administration has not followed through on campaign promises, such as moving to end the military's "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy.
U.S. House and Senate committees have approved equal-employment benefits for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) federal employees. And the Obama administration has included language on the federal jobs Web site explicitly banning employment discrimination based on gender identity.
"We have to understand that true, lasting change occurs in these incremental ways," said Darlene Nipper, deputy executive director for the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, which advocates on behalf of gays.
Those opposed to gay marriage have also had recent victories.
In early December, the New York state Senate decisively rejected a bill that would have allowed gay couples there to wed.
And on Thursday, the New Jersey Senate voted against a bill that would bring gay marriage to that state, where civil unions now can be performed.
Those who are against gay marriage and what they call special rights for gays remain steadfast in their opposition.
"We hear the argument that eventually gay marriage will be everywhere, accepted, because those who oppose it will die off," said Joseph Backholm, executive director of the Family Policy Institute Washington.
"In fact what we know, what history shows us, is that the side of truth always wins in the long term."
Nationwide, same-sex marriage is legal in five states, the District of Columbia and the Indian nation of Coquille in Oregon.
Seven countries — The Netherlands, Belgium, Canada, Spain, Norway, Sweden and South Africa — allow gay marriage, and nearly two dozen others allow some form of civil unions or registered partnership.
In Uganda, meanwhile, a development is unfolding that has been widely denounced: The country's parliament is considering a law to make homosexuality punishable by death.
The Anti-Homosexuality Bill of 2009, as it is called, has been condemned by voices across the U.S. and Europe — from the Church of Scotland to five Republican U.S. House members who say they are all men of faith and have urged the president of Uganda to oppose the bill.
He said he wants the gay community to focus first on raising money and organizing, "so we can be prepared to pass marriage law and fight any referendum that would happen as a result."

Latest And Greatest Scam......
ReplyDeleteThis one has been seen all over the classifieds lately and its not even legal!
Earn income working-at-home as a 3rd Party Tracer Processing Mortgage Refunds (helping the Federal Government return unclaimed refunds)!
A Typical Federal Tracer Ad: “A Government related home-based income program has been introduced to the general public. This is a work-at-home opportunity in which you can earn thousands of dollars per month working part time. This program is called The U.S. Government Refund Tracer Program. You will be assisting the Federal Government by processing mortgage refunds. No experience is necessary!”
Its a complete scam!!
One Tracer Scam charges $39.50 plus $3.50 for S&H. For your fee, you will receive a training manual and instructions on finding HUD refund recipients. You will earn money by contacting these recipients and then charging a fee to obtain the refund for them, a practice which is prohibited by the Federal Government. Furthermore, newcomers to this line of work usually lack access to information needed to succeed in the business. It is illegal for a tracer to tell a homebuyer that a fee is required in order to get a refund.
Once again ladies and gents......stay away from this!! The last thing you need is to wind up in jail!
^^^ What an ironic thing to post under :
ReplyDeleteBarbara Joy McLuin, as of November 20th, 2012, was arrested on 6 counts of ANIMAL CRUELTY and 1 Count of CRUELTY TO A PERSON.
Her Karma, that she talks so much of, finally caught up to her, so it seems.
This says it all.
CASE CLOSED. I'll pray for you, Barbara.

ReplyDeleteLast week, Barbara Joy McLuin, 54, of Loganville, was convicted of cruelty to an elder person in the Walton County Superior Court.

Barbara McLuin. Photo courtesy of Walton County Sheriff’s Office
According to Alcovy Circuit Court Assistant District Attorney Jacqueline Payne, the conviction carries a maximum 20-year sentence. McLuin will be sentenced by Alcovy Circuit Court Superior Court Judge Eugene Benton on Aug. 26, 2015.
Payne said the conviction stems from McLuin’s arrest in 2012 following a call from her Loganville home regarding a medical emergency with her elderly mother.
“On Nov. 20, 2012, the defendant called 911 to request EMS assistance at her home in Loganville. She reported that her 80-year-old bedridden mother was suffering from an altered mental state,” Payne said. “Walton County Fire and EMS responded to the call and found the home to be unlivable. They reported it to law enforcement and removed the victim from the residence. The Walton County Sheriff’s Office, Animal Control, and Code Enforcement responded to the scene. Due to the conditions inside of the home, the house was declared uninhabitable. The victim was transported to Clearview Regional Medical Center and treated for various medical issues related to bed sores and infection.”
According to the WCSO incident report, some 15 – 20 cats also were removed from the home by animal control. McLuin was also charged with animal cruelty, but was found not guilty on that charge, according to Payne. Officials confirm McLuin is the same Barbara Joy who is a member of a Stevie Nicks/Fleetwood Mac Tribute band.
The case was investigated by WCSO and prosecuted by Payne along with Victim Services Director Kim Roberts. A jury convicted McLuin on Aug. 6, 2015 and she is currently being held at the Walton County Detention Center awaiting sentencing.
